A Year-Round Celebration of Kindness, Diversity, and Inclusion

Blooming Inclusiveness is an annual initiative by Laila’s Gift and Zigglebee to promote inclusion and kindness, especially for the special-needs community.

Stemming across all 12 months of the year, with the new cycle beginning each May, this initiative is packed with fun events that promote anti-bullying and celebrate diversity!

The journey begins with the event in May, where everyone is invited to join in the festivities. From May to October, a series of sunflower-themed events occur to celebrate diversity and promote anti-bullying in communities. One of the highlights is the Seeds of Inclusion event, where community members plant sunflower seeds to honor and recognize each individual’s unique ability. This wonderful tradition culminates in October at the Sunflower Festival, where families come together to celebrate inclusion and raise awareness in a joyful atmosphere.

In October, the Kindness Rocks program kicks off in local schools and organizations, encouraging students and young leaders to engage in weekly and monthly activities that promote kindness and inclusion. The Kindness Rocks program is essential for nurturing a culture of empathy and inclusivity, creating spaces and opportunities for children with and without disabilities to connect and grow together. The program also empowers our youth to become compassionate leaders in their communities. The season is celebrated in May with a Rock Rally, a celebration of all the progress made during Kindness Rocks.
